Brutal Truth est un groupe de grindcore américain originaire de New York, formé en 1990 par le bassiste Dan Lilker, connu pour son passage dans des formations emblématiques comme Anthrax et Nuclear Assault. Avec leur son abrasif et leurs paroles percutantes, ils ont su capturer l'essence du grindcore tout en y ajoutant une touche unique. Leur premier album, 'Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses', sorti en 1992, a marqué les esprits et a solidifié leur place dans la scène metal. Après une première séparation en 1999, le groupe s'est reformé en 2006, continuant à produire de la musique jusqu'en 2014. Ce qui rend Brutal Truth mémorable, c'est leur capacité à allier technicité et brutalité, tout en développant une identité sonore propre qui continue d'influencer de nombreux groupes aujourd'hui.
